Civil litigation

You tend to avoid conflict wherever possible, but sometimes it is unavoidable.  We understand that, at times, there may be bumps in the road to success.  Maybe someone is refusing to uphold their end of the bargain.  Maybe someone wants to take something from you.  Maybe someone already has.  Whatever your hurdle, you can rely on our expertise to overcome it.
Services:
  • Contract litigation
  • Creditor's rights litigation
  • Estate disputes
  • Breach of fiduciary duty
  • Asset recovery
  • Business separation

Collections

Someone owes you money.   You've called, you've emailed, you've badgered, and you've harangued.  They just refuse to pay.  If they deny responsibility for the debt, then you are in civil litigation territory.  But if you already have a judgment, or if there is no dispute over liability, then you need collections help.
Services:
  • Asset discovery
  • Execution proceedings
  • Garnishment proceedings

Appeals

Sometimes it takes longer to resolve a dispute than anticipated.  Litigation doesn't always end with a final order.  Both parties have an opportunity to ask a higher court to review a trial judge's decision.  If you need to bring an appeal, or if you need to defend against one, we handle all manner of appellate litigation.

Your appeal starts at trial level because any arguments not raised at trial level are prohibited on appeal.  Trial attorneys regularly hire us to consult on various appellate issues from record preservation to brief drafting.
Services:
  • Error preservation
  • Motions drafting
  • Brief writing
  • Oral arguments
